Beauregard Museum

Built in 1927, the Beauregard Museum is located in the Kansas City Southern train depot. The tile-roofed, red brick building is in the historic district.
 
The museum displays a collection of unique antique china, furniture and other historic memoir from DeRidder, Beauregard Parish and Southwest Louisiana. It is also home to the Famous Lois Loftin Doll Museum, which includes over 3000 dolls from around the world.
 
Admission is free and the building is accessible to the handicapped. Tues-Sat. 8 a.m.-5 p.m.  

Merryville Museum

The museum has a collection of memorabilia from the late 19th and early 20th century, that are representative of life in this part of the state. All the artifacts in the museum come from Merryville and the surrounding areas. Open Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. All other times by appointment.
 
South Beauregard Museum

The South Beauregard Museum was started in 1997 by Mr. Joe Warren. It is housed in the former First Baptist Church of Longville building, which was built in 1906. In the museum, you will find a collection of items that include early sawmill records, as well as hundreds of photographs. Many unique antiques, Indian artifacts and a bottle collection from the era are also on displayed. The museum is open by appointment only.
 
Ragley Museum

Organized in 1998, for the preservation of Ragley, a once a thriving sawmill town. Located just off Highway 190, the museum is set to open in the spring 2005 and will feature recorded video accounts of history in the once thriving town. The Ragley Heritage and Timber Festival will be held in October.
